Financial Analyst I

Description

Performs a variety of professional financial duties required to analyze, verify, and reconcile financial records; prepares financial reports; provides fiscal recommendations for the assigned office or department.

Qualifications

Required

  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
  • Two (2) years of progressively more responsible experience in fiscal or budget management.
  • Knowledge of the theory, methods principles, and practices of financial management and generally accepted accounting principles and pronouncement of the governmental accounting standards board.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate financial and budget data and methods; ability to resolve problems.
  • Capable of preparing appropriate statements, reports, budget submissions.
  • Ability to manage assigned funds.
  • Ability to effectively use automated financial systems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
